What should I provide for a quote?
Send the origin, destination, ready date, delivery target, commodity, piece count, packaging, actual weight and outside dimensions. Add special handling, site constraints and import or export details. Estimates are acceptable at first when clearly labelled, but the final packed data should be confirmed before booking.
Can the final charge differ from the quote?
It can if the actual freight, route, dates, services or conditions differ from the quoted information, or if applicable duties, taxes, carrier adjustments or accessorial services arise. Review the written quote, validity period, assumptions and exclusions before booking.
Which documents do I need?
Domestic freight often needs a transport document and packing information. International freight commonly adds a commercial invoice and customs data; proof of origin, export reporting, permits, certificates or dangerous-goods documents may also apply. The required set depends on the goods, route and roles of the parties.
Is freight forwarding the same as customs brokerage?
No. A forwarder coordinates transport, while an authorized customs broker can transact with customs on an importer’s behalf. Tell Aeromax whether a broker has been appointed and who is acting as importer and exporter of record so the handoff can be confirmed.
How do I track an Aeromax shipment?
MaxFreight is Aeromax’s private transportation system and customer portal for shipments managed by Aeromax. Use the access provided to your organization or contact your Aeromax representative with the shipment reference for help.
Are pickup and transit times guaranteed?
Do not assume a date is guaranteed unless that commitment is stated in the confirmed service terms. Availability, cut-offs, customs, weather, congestion and carrier operations can affect timing. Tell Aeromax which deadline is business-critical when requesting the quote.
Can I send dangerous or regulated goods?
Tell Aeromax before booking. Acceptance depends on the exact commodity, classification, quantity, packaging, route, mode, documents and carrier. Never omit lithium batteries, chemicals, dry ice or another regulated component from the cargo description.
Why do exact dimensions matter?
They affect dimensional weight, freight class, equipment fit, loading and price. Measure the finished package or pallet at its greatest outside points and include wrapping, the pallet and any overhang.
Is cargo automatically insured for its full value?
Do not assume carrier liability equals the commercial value of the goods. Tell Aeromax the value and ask what liability terms and cargo-insurance options apply before booking. Coverage, exclusions and claim procedures must be confirmed in writing.
